Sa Pa and Bac Ha

We packed up and left Hanoi on our Indonesian built Honda motorbike at 6am and immediately ran into peak morning traffic.  Once out onto the highway we headed north-west through Son Tay, Nghia Lo and Tan Uyen to Sapa. We travelled to Bac Ha, staying overnight in a Homestay and then trekked into the mountains, again staying in a homestay.
